Corner casting assemblies for freight containers have projections with twist-locks at bottom ends and matching sockets at top ends

The corner casting assemblies (2) are for use with standard size freight containers (1). They have projections with twist- locks (16) at the bottom ends and matching sockets (11) at top ends. Safety locking devices (7) are fitted on either side of the twist lock bolt (8). A nut (14) screws on a spindle (13) and supports a rod (12) holding the top socket. The nut rests on a bottom rotatable rod (15) connected to the twist lock bolt.
