PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink that has improved ejection stability as an ink for use in an inkjet recording method in which an ink is ejected from a recording head by the action of thermal energy.

SOLUTION: The ink is intended for use in an inkjet recording method in which an ink is ejected from a recording head by the action of thermal energy, and comprises a pigment represented by formula (1), a dispersant and a water-soluble organic compound, wherein the pigment has substantially no exothermic peak nor endothermic peak in a range of not less than 25°C to not more than 200°C in a DSC curve as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC).
