PURPOSE: An apparatus for improving the quality of coke (CWQ facility) by quenching the fire of heated coke with warm water is provided to increase the strength of cokes by cooling the heated coke with warm water during the fire quenching of heated coke, thereby producing high quality of cokes so as to contribute to the increase of tapping amount in a blast furnace, and reduce manufacturing cost and improve productivity by decreasing the consumed amount of expensive coking coal and reducing the coke manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for quenching the fire of heated coke, the apparatus comprises a high pressure steam line (290) connected to a storage container so as to increase the temperature of fire extinguishing water to a certain temperature; steam spray nozzles (230a,230b,230c,230d) mounted on for preventing hammering occurred when the high pressure steam is directly contacted with the fluid, wherein the steam spray nozzles are mounted simultaneously as increasing the temperature of the fire quenching water; and an agitator a mixing equipment for rapidly increasing the temperature of fire quenching water inside the storage container by the operation of a motor (220) so that the strength of cokes is increased by increasing the temperature of the fire quenching water, quenching the fire of heated coke, thereby preventing rapid cooling thereof. |
