<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve variation in luminance when lightness is low. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting diode driving circuit comprises a light emitting diode 11 which emits light with luminance according to the flowing current and has its cathode terminal grounded, a p-type field effect transistor 12 which has its source terminal connected to a DC voltage source having a predetermined potential V<SB>dd</SB>and its drain terminal connected to the anode terminal of the light emitting diode 11, a switching element 13 which has one terminal connected to the gate terminal of the p-type field effect transistor 12 and the other terminal connected to a voltage source outputting a data signal V<SB>data</SB>and is turned on in a selection period of the light emitting diode 11, and a constant current circuit 14 which controls a bypass current I<SB>b</SB>bypassing the light emitting diode 11 to a predetermined constant value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
