PURPOSE: An internally threaded fastener is provided to achieve an improved functional performance with a fastener that is lighter in weight and lower in cost than a corresponding all-metal locknut. CONSTITUTION: A faster is equipped with a metallic body(10) having a vacancy part(12) extended to an opposed end, wherein the vacancy part has a threaded surface, a polymer material-made patch(20) which is applied and fused to a part of the threaded surface, and a screw part(18) satisfying general torque characteristic specified under both IFI100/107 (year 1987) and IFI101 (year 1987). A method of manufacture is so conducted that firstly, a polymerization resin material is applied and fused to at least a part of the threaded surface of the inner side screw member, and after that, the frictional characteristic of the screw is adjusted so that strong torque performance characteristic satisfies both IFI100/107 (year 1987) and IFI101 (year 1987).
