<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position sensor provided with a light-weight magnetic path plate, in which capability as an electrostatic shield and capability to prevent the influence of magnetic noise are made compatible. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic path plate having an amorphous metallic layer and a non-amorphous metallic layer is disposed on the opposite side of a sensor substrate when viewed from a position indicator, so that the position sensor capable of inputting coordinates can be constituted even when the magnetic path plate is made light and then an electronic circuit or the like is disposed in the background of the sensor substrate.
