PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the hardness and the strength of a workpiece by shot peening processing. SOLUTION: A shot peening apparatus 10 has a control console 102 having a control circuit. A gear 14 is subjected to the shot peening processing by at least two times. The control circuit carries out control so that glass beads 20 are projected in second shot peening processing by projecting energy larger than that in first shot peening processing.
