PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet oxidation device where the decomposition-away of TOC components in the water to be treated can be efficiently performed. SOLUTION: In the ultraviolet oxidation device where organic matter contained in the water to be treated is subjected to oxidative decomposition treatment using ultraviolet rays, the device comprises: an ultraviolet ray irradiation means; at least one reaction section where the water to be treated is irradiated with ultraviolet rays, so as to subject organic matter to oxidative decomposition; a photocatalytic filter; and a flow passage allowing the water to be treated to pass through the photocatalytic filter, and wherein, TOC components in the water to be treated can be efficiently decomposed away.
