PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve increased centrifugal force, and furthermore improved separating performance, by a simple configuration, in a cyclone type filtering apparatus. SOLUTION: The cyclone type filtering apparatus 5 including a cylindrical part 11, a separating vessel 13 having a conical part 12 provided at the lower end of the cylindrical part and reducing its diameter along the downward direction, a lead-in pipe 15 leading a liquid along the tangential direction of the inside circumferential surface of the cylindrical part to generate a whirling stream in the separating vessel, and a lead-out pipe 16 housed in the separating vessel with the same axis as the cylindrical part and leading the liquid flowing in from a lower opening 16a out of the separating vessel from the upper part thereof is so configured that the lead-out pipe is rotatably supported with regard to the separating vessel, and a motor (a driving means) 42 rotatably driving the lead-out pipe in the whirling direction of the whirling stream is provided to enhancing the whirl by rotating the lead-out pipe in the whirling direction of the whirling stream.
