<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin-type, electric power-saving, light-weighted, and inexpensive surface light-emitting device by using a tabular light guide body and an LED. <P>SOLUTION: This is the surface light-emitting device (1) having the light guide body (10) having a front face, a rear face, and the end face, a groove part (11) installed at the front face or the rear face of the light guide body, light sources (30, 40) to make light incident from the end face of the light guide body, and an optical deflection means (R) installed in the groove part in order to emit the light made incident from the end face of the light guide body from the groove part of the light guide body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
