PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rainwater drainage system structure which brings about shortening of a construction period and reduction of various costs, prevents rainwater collected in a drainage system from infiltrating into the surrounding ground, and also prevents water in the surrounding ground from flowing into the drainage system. SOLUTION: In formation of the drainage system structure, the ground 10 is excavated to form an excavated ditch 1 for setting a discharge channel, and impermeable liners 2 are laid on a bottom surface and both side surfaces of the excavated ditch 1 to cover the same, followed by setting a water collecting pipe 3 in a cavity 20 covered with the impermeable liners 2 at a predetermined depth. Further a water permeable layer 4 formed of crushed stones etc. is filled in a surplus space in the cavity 20, and a lid 5 having a water leading function is arranged on the water permeable layer 4. In this manner shortening of the construction period and reduction of the various costs are achieved, and further, rainwater collected in the drainage system is prevented from infiltrating into the surrounding ground (as well as water in the surrounding ground is prevented from flowing into the drainage system).
