PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a liquid-cooled jacket that has high thermal conductivity and deformation resistance and can be made compact.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a liquid-cooled jacket includes: a mounting process of mounting a sealing body 3 on a jacket body 2; a first primary joining process of carrying out frictional agitation by making one round of a rotary tool F for primary joining along a first abutting part J1 where a step side face of a peripheral wall step part and an outer periphery side face of the sealing body 3 abut on each other; and a second primary joining process of carrying out frictional agitation by making one round of the rotary tool F for primary joining along a second abutting part J2 where a step side face of a column step part and a hole wall 19a of a hole part 19 abut on each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
