PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support catheter which can suppress deformation of a distal end part of a treatment catheter.SOLUTION: A support catheter 1 is used commonly by a guiding catheter 4 and a balloon catheter 5. The support catheter 1 has enough length to be inserted through a base end side opening 4b of the guiding catheter 4 and to project from a distal end side opening 4a, and guides a balloon 23 to a narrow section 3. The support catheter 1 is provided with a distal shaft 33 configuring its distal end side and a base end side respectively and a proximal shaft 34. The proximal shaft 34 has a position check marker 41 at the distal end side part projecting from the base end side opening 4b. The position check marker 41 allows a position relation between the balloon 23 and the distal shaft 33 to be grasped by positioning one depth marker 25 for checking positions in blood vessels 51, 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
