METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INSPECTING MOVING VEHICLES

A method and system for inspecting moving vehicles, for implementing licence plate identification and vehicle information collection on moving cars on the road, and implementing match testing of the licence plate information and the vehicle information, thereby executing traffic inspection work. The method comprises: by means of an ANPR camera, identifying a first licence plate number of a vehicle, storing same in a first information pool, and storing a first time period TP in the first information pool (S1); by means of a DSRC apparatus, acquiring a second licence plate number recorded in vehicle information in an OBU of the vehicle, storing same in a second information pool, and storing a second time period TM in the second information pool (S2); implementing match testing of the first licence plate and the second licence plate, and if the match is successful, then implementing tagging (S3); and implementing an inspection operation on the vehicle information tagged as being successfully matched (S4).
