PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a fluctuation in an actual conveyance amount by a conveyance roller pair before and after the rear end of a recording medium passes through a feeding roller even when the feeding roller moves with reduction in a residual amount of recording media.SOLUTION: A residual amount of sheets 9 in a sheet feeding tray 90 is detected by a residual amount sensor 21 (S2). A switching timing for switching a conveyance control signal which specifies a conveyance amount of the sheets 9 in one intermittent conveyance operation at the time of executing recording processing, and is supplied to a conveyance motor 35 being a drive source of a conveyance roller pair 71 is decided to any timing in the middle of recording of an image on one sheet 9 in accordance with the residual amount of the sheets 9 detected in the step S2 (S3).
