The present invention relates to a compound including an aromatic ring, a polymeric electrolyte membrane including the same, a membrane-electrode assembly including the polymeric electrolyte membrane, a fuel cell including the membrane-electrode assembly, and a redox flow battery including the polymeric electrolyte membrane. According to the present invention, the fuel cell and/or the redox flow battery including the polymeric electrolyte membrane exhibit excellent durability and efficiency.
