A final drive gear mechanism (4) is provided with pinions (8) for meshing with a pair of side gears (7A, 7B) that are disposed opposite each other, and a cylindrical pinion carrier (10). Wave washers (12), which are deformed by a component of the meshing force between the pinions (8) and the side gears (7A, 7B), are interposed between end faces of the pinions (8) and the pinion carrier (10). Lubricating oil passages connecting the outside and inside of the pinion carrier (10) are formed via gaps between the pinions and the pinion carrier that result from flexure of the wave washers (12). While the vehicle is traveling, the lubricating oil passages are blocked by deformation of the wave washers (12). But when the vehicle is stopped, lubricating oil flow channels are secured via the gaps.
