1310819 Welding by pressure KELLER & KNAPPICH GmbH 17 Sept 1970 [19 Sept 1969] 44416/70 Heading B3R A friction welding machine having two rotary welding heads 3, 5, e.g. for welding two compounds simultaneously to the ends of a central stationary component (not shown), has independent rotary drive means for both heads and a synchronizing shaft 8 interconnecting the heads to maintain a fixed mutual angular relationship between them. The shaft 8 is floatingly mounted and provision is made to accommodate both the axial relative movements of the heads during welding and adjustment of the spacings thereof.
