PURPOSE:To efficiently purify water with ease of execution and to save the labor of maintenance and administration by successively vertically providing water purifying layer bodies consisting of zeolite layers, partially cut cocoon ball layers and charcoal layers into a cage body constituted of wire nets, grids or perforated plates. CONSTITUTION:This water purifying device 10 is constituted by successively providing the water purifying layer bodies 11 consisting of at least the zeolite layers 5, the partially cut cocoon ball layers 6 and the charcoal layers 7 vertically in the cage body 1 constituted of the wire nets 2 or the grids or the perforated plates. The suspended matter, heavy metals, nitrogen and phosphorus are adsorbed by the zeolite and the charcoal when such water purifying device is fixed and installed into the river bed by digging the river bed. In addition, many bacteria are propagated and vigorously activated by the water-soluble amino acids contained in the cocoon balls, by which the harmful materials in the water are rapidly adsorbed and decomposed. |
