PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an available period check method which is for preventing falsification of the available period and has a reliability, an IC card available period confirmation method which permits stepwise limitation on and permission for use by individually providing plural periods for IC cards/applications and performing function limitation and addition corresponding to the periods, a storage medium where an IC card available period confirmation program is stored, an application storage and performance method, and a storage medium where an application storage and performance program is stored. SOLUTION: Available periods are individually set to applications stored in an IC card, and the present time received at the online connection of the IC card to a server is used to collectively check the available periods of applications, and expired applications are stopped to confirm the available periods, and setting of the available period of the IC card is referred to at the application storage to efficiently store an application, and period information of the IC card and that of the application are checked at the application performance to perform the application within the available period.
