An automatically locking slide (10) for zip fasteners has a locking element (24) which includes an elastic strip which is preferably made of stainless steel, is bent in the shape of a 3 and has a U-shaped base (25), which extends around a transverse pin (18) of a handle (17), a locking claw (28) which extends from one end of the base (25) and a fastening part (26) which extends from the other end of the base (25) and ends in a hook-shape (27) which is hooked to a nose (23) which is arranged on the slide wedge (13). The base (25) is normally pressed against the transverse pin (18) of the handle (17) by the elasticity of the strip forming the locking element (24). The hook-shaped end (27) of the fastening part (26) is normally pressed against the nose (23) by the elasticity of the strip forming the locking element (24), in order to prevent the release of the said end (27) from the nose. The locking element (24) is accordingly held fast, in its position on the slide body, solely by the elasticity of the strip forming the locking element (24), without it being necessary to bend or deform any part of the slide body, which would adversely affect the appearance of the slide (10). <IMAGE> |
