PURPOSE:To obtain a plate-making material superior in aging stability, peelability, etc., by forming a photosensitive layer containing a mixture of a polymer insoluble in an aqueous alkali solution and higher in ester value and a polymer insoluble and lower in ester value on a specified peelable polyamide layer provided on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer is composed of a mixture of a polymer high in ester value and insoluble in an aqueous alkali solution but soluble in an organic solvent, and a polymer low in ester value and soluble in an aqueous alkali solution. Said polymer is an ester compound between an alkali-soluble polymer having OH groups and an acid having a photosensitive radical selected from a group consisting of cinnamic acid, cinnamylideneacetic acid, those substituted by CN, CH3, phenyl, etc. in the alpha position, and furylacrylic acid. Under the phtotosensitive layer, a peelable organic coated layer made chiefly of N- alkoxyalkylated polyamide, and a soluble not N-alkoxyalkylated layer are successively overlaid on a substrate in advance. An excellent plate-making master is obtained by imagewise exposing this material, and developing it with an aqueous alkali solution. |
