The electrical connector 10 comprises a first shell 12 and a second shell 14 which are provided for being assembled by being clamped together around an insulated main cable 24, one 12 of the shells including a head 40 made from conducting material having a series of sharp-edged teeth 44 intended to perforate the insulation 28 and to come into electrical contact with the cable conductor 24. With the purpose of ensuring a branch-off towards an insulated branch-off cable 30, the shell 12 includes a second head 42 made from conducting material provided with a series of sharp-edged teeth 46 capable of perforating the insulation of the branch-off cable and coming into electrical contact with the conductor of this cable 30, the first and second heads 40, 42 being joined together by means of a body 38 in the form of a one-piece metal component 36. <IMAGE>
