PURPOSE:To decrease the recording drive voltage and to reduce the effect between recording and reproducing signals by giving a recording circuit two output signals in opposite phase to each other, bringing a high impedance to the 1st and 2nd changeover means at the recording and connecting a ground potential to the means at the reproduction. CONSTITUTION:The level of a recording/reproducing switching signal input terminal 31 goes to a low level at the reproduction, a transistor (TR) 7 is cut off, an output of an inverter 25 goes to a high level and TRs 3, 4 are conductive. As a result, the position A of two terminals of the circuit of a rotary transformer 2 is connected to ground and a reproducing amplifier 5 is activated. A level of a terminal 31 goes to a high level at the recording, the TR 7 is conductive and the TRs 3, 4 are cut off. As a result, a recording signal fed from a recording signal input terminal 32 becomes two outputs of opposite phase and the recording by a recording and reproducing head 1 at a low recording drive voltage is attained. Further, the recording/reproduction is attained with less effect between the recording and reproducing signals.
