PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having high sensitivity and durability by using a specified hydrazone compound in the photosensitive layer of a sensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A hydrazone compound represented by formula I is incorporated into a photosensitive layer formed on an electrically conductive support. In the formula, X is a residue required to form a 5- or 6-membered ring and A is phenyl which may have a substituent, pyridyl which may have a substituent, benzothiazole which may have a substituent or thiazole. When a sensitive body is produced with the hydrazone compound, a film contg. the compound in a film forming polymer binder is formed on a support such as a metallic drum, a metallic plate, paper or a plastic film provided with electric conductivity. At this time, a sensitizer for further increasing the sensitivity of a plasticizer for the binder is preferably added to the binder. |
