PURPOSE:To get a console box having simple structure and high rigidity by providing parallel link mechanism for elevating a storing box to a console main box and fixing the storing box to the console box by means of lock mechanism. CONSTITUTION:When a lever 29 is held up, a link 32 is rotated to shift a lock plate 33 in the inside direction of a storing box 17 and the lock plate 33 parts from a lock groove 35. Hereby the storing box 17 becomes free condition to a console main body 15 and the spring 27 of link mechanism 19 and links 21, 22, 24 operate and the storing box 17 is elevated. Thereafter, when the lever 29 is released, the lock plate 33 advances by a spring 34 and engages with the topmoot lock groove 35 and is fastened there. In this constitution, the storing box 17 is elevated without leaving forward or backward by the link mechanism 19, therefore one lock mechanism 20 does resulting in simple structure and high rigidity.
