摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand a visual field angle without executing a rubbing treatment by forming a liquid crystal layer of liquid crystal unit cells segmented by differences in level or wall surfaces, specifying a twist angle substantially to 90 deg., arraying liquid crystal molecules substantially inparallel to substrates in the absence of electric fields and forming liquid crystal domains having various bearings. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display panel consists of the microunit liquid crystal cells of an approximately circular shape which are held by two substrates 101 and 102 with electrodes 103 and 104 and are circumferentially enclosed by the high-polymer walls 110 near at the substrate surfaces. The liquid crystal molecules existing on the surfaces which pass the central parts in the thickness direction of the liquid crystal layers of the unit liquid crystal cells and are parallel with the substrates 101 and 102 are aligned at ratios nearly equal to the various directions within the parallel planes. The panel has at least one polarizing plates 107 and 108 and the liquid crystals are composed of nematic liquid crystal materials 109 having positive dielectric anisotropy.
