PURPOSE:To quicken the convergence of an actual indicator peak position to a target peak position by advancing or delaying an ignition angle, depending upon the value of the function of an odd-numbered order with the deviation of a measurement indicator peak position from a target indicator peak position as a parameter. CONSTITUTION:Every time a peak detection signal from a comparison circuit 5 is fed to a gate terminal (g) in a latch circuit 10, the count value of a counter 6 is latched. An ignition angle setting circuit 8 reads information from the latch circuit 10 and the information is taken as peak position information thetapx in a crank angle. On the basis of the information thetapx, the data of a desired ignition angle thetaIG are fed to an ignition instruction circuit 9, according to various parameters from an engine parameter sensor 12. And clock pulses are counted by the counter 6 based on a signal from a reference position signal 3, thereby knowing the present value thetaig of the crank angle, and an ignition switch SW is opened when thetaig has agreed to thetaIG. |
