PURPOSE:To eliminate dead space, by providing an L-shaped suspension arm rotatably mounting its one end to an axle side member of a front wheel and mounting a coil spring to be interposed toward the direction of a lateral width of a car body between the other end of said arm and the car body. CONSTITUTION:Of the suspension arms provided between the bottom end of a knuckle 1, which serves for an axle side member of supporting a wheel 11, and a floor 12 of a car body, a lower arm 2 is formed to an L shape. And a coil spring 6 is mounted interposing toward the direction of a lateral width of the car body between the upper end of the lower arm 2 and one part 14 of the car body. In this way, the coil spring 6 is provided to be arranged in a triangular space part which has been dead space in the past. Accordingly, in the case of a front wheel driven car, the coil spring 6 is prevented from obstructing the existence of a driving shaft. While the coil spring 6 enables its stroke to be small decreased from lever ratio between the rotary center of the lower arm 2 and the acting point of the coil spring 6 in a position of the wheel 11. |
