Two blade carriers (3, 5) provided with a blade (4) are guided and held in a radially displaceable manner on the end face of a boring-head body (1). These blade carriers (3, 5) can be radially set by means of an adjusting device supported against an abutment and can be firmly clamped against a bearing surface by means of fastening screws (8) engaging in longitudinal slots (9). The bearing surface is a plane surface (22) in which a guide groove (10) running across the centre point is made. The two blade carriers (3, 5) each have a guide rib (11, 12, 13) guided in the guide groove (10). The width of the guide rib (11, 12, 13) is half as large as the width of the guide groove (10). A recess (14) reaching over parts of the adjusting device is made in the guide rib (11, 12, 13). So that the two blade carriers can be set quickly and precisely to a smaller or larger diameter, the adjusting device has two sliding blocks (15, 16) which engage in the recesses (14) in the guide ribs (11, 12) and are adjustably guided in opposite directions in the boring-head body (1) via a spindle drive (17, 18) mounted in a fixed position in the boring-head body (1). <IMAGE>
