The invention relates to a device making it possible to heat or cool, under optimal conditions from the point of view of cost and efficacy, a part of the human body which is essential as regards thermal comfort and thermal balance. It consists of a sandal with a hollow sole 2 of the rubber type which is provided with an orifice 3 for introducing water at the desired temperature, it being understood that this water can be iced or even frozen by placing the sandal in a freezer. <IMAGE>
