Device for transmitting, by means of a flexible arm, the force of a sail to a sailboard. The invention relates to a device making it possible to render the movements of a sail with respect to the board which it moves relatively independent, in order to improve the hydrodynamism thereof, and to confer upon it a propulsive instead of tractive effect. It consists of a flexible arm (4) fixed to the rear part (6) of a sailboard (1) and, at its other end, receiving the fixture (2) for a mast footing (3) which remains separated from the board (1) by means of a spacer (7). This arm may be adjusted in terms of flexibility by a movable system (5). The effect of this flexible arm (4) may be cancelled out by locking by means of a system (8) immobilising it on the spacer (7) allowing conventional use. The device according to the invention is intended to equip sailboards of all types, and all boats operating on the same principle. <IMAGE>
