An adsorption agent, esp. a moving bed reactor, through which a liq. to be treated passes laterally, includes a slot sieve downstream of bed and a venetian blind type construction. The slot sieve has vertically running slot limiting elements. The width of the slots is dependent upon the granular size of the material, and the width chosen ensures that the particles are held back in the handling chamber. The slot has a stabilising mesh connected to it. ADVANTAGE - Unwanted effects due to the uneven distribution of material on the downstream side of the reaction are prevented.
