The disposal of waste materials such as ash, lightly contaminated soil, rubble etc. is very costly. Such waste can be converted into a stable filler for construction work by mixing with cement and casting in a chamber (1). The cast block (5) is pushed into a former (7) which holds a cage of steel reinforcement (8,9). Concrete is then run into the space between the former and the cast block to produce the ferroconcrete casing. USE/ADVANTAGE - Concrete blocks including waste material. Can be used for construction of dams, sea walls, roads etc. and they form a stable building material.
