<p>PURPOSE:To display the altitude difference between an aircraft and an approach path. CONSTITUTION:An elevation approach path 11 is displayed on the elevation display region of a CRT display screen. A bearing approach path 12 is displayed in the bearing display region. A video image 9 of a target aircraft which is obtained by a presicion approach radar is displayed on the respective display regions. Then, a track marker 10 is overlapped on the target video image 9 and inputted by a key. Thus, the position data of the target video image 9 are obtained. Then, the altitude of the target and the altitude of the elevation approach path 11 at this position are obtained based on the map data and the position data of the video image. The value of the difference between both altitudes is displayed on an altitude-difference displaying region 13. The contents of the instruction for a pilot are displayed in the form of the detailed numerical values.</p> |
