<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the passage of sewage through a bearing for a hollow shaft even by the negative pressure generated in a cover when an air suction control valve fixed to the cover is closed and consequently to obviate the closure of the bearing. CONSTITUTION:A hollow shaft 1 provided with a propeller 5 at its lower end is connected to a motor 2, and the propeller is rotated to generate a negative pressure in the water at the tip of the propeller which is utilized to blow in air from an air suction port 1H bored through the hollow shaft. A cover 3 is provided to cover the hollow shaft, and its lower end is placed under the water surface. An air suction control valve 9 is provided to the cover above the water surface and a differential pressure adjusting hole 7 in the water, and a sealing mechanism is furnished to the cover above the bearing 6 for the hollow shaft.</p> |
