PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus for forming a coating film without raised parts in the end parts in the width direction of a strip member. SOLUTION: In a coating apparatus for forming a coating film on a strip member moving on a back-up roll by a coating bead, the diameter of the back-up roll of the coating apparatus is made larger stepwise or continuously in the positions on the opposite to the end parts of the coating head in the direction of the rotary shaft of the back-up roll than in the center part. |
