PURPOSE: To provide a system for efficiently and exactly classifying material based on different electromagnetic radiation, absorption and transmission characteristics. CONSTITUTION: Controllers 11 and 20 sample detection output at various times and evaluate the absorption and transmission characteristics of the materials 13 and 14 to be classified. The controllers activate discharge mechanisms in accordance with the detected absorption and transmission characteristics and house the materials of different components in different bottles. The controllers execute interruption in the time necessary for executing detection, discharge, test and the maintenance of a system history. A circular buffer includes indices to instruct the various positions programmed in a memory in order to trigger and execute specific events. The positions of the indices of the circular buffer are used for controlling the timing of the events. By the constitution, by moving the positions of the circular buffer various events are simultaneously executed.
