PURPOSE:To obtain the subject new peptide having a specific amino acid sequence, exhibiting immune activity similar to atrial natriuretic polypeptide (ANP), capable of readily synthesizing, having high stability and useful as an immunological measuring reagent, etc., for ANP. CONSTITUTION:The objective peptide expressed by the formula and having immune activity similar to ANP is obtained by successively coupling a properly protected amino acid by a solid phase synthesis method according to a conventional chemical synthesis method of usual peptide or synthesizing proper fragments, coupling these fragments to synthesize a protected peptide chain, treating the protected group with trifluoroacetic acid, hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride/acetic acid, etc., to deprotect the protected group, diluting and neutralizing a solution of the deprotected peptide, oxidizing the neutralized peptide with air by stirring, etc., to form an intramolecular disulfide bond between Cys at the 7 position and 23 position and purifying the resultant crude peptide by repeatedly using combination of proper column chromatography, gel filtration, high-performance liquid chromatography, etc. |
