PURPOSE:To suppress dulling of a magnetic field waveform, and also, to enhance a high frequency magnetic shielding effect. CONSTITUTION:An MRI high frequency magnetic shield 17 is provided between a gradient magnetic field coil 5 and a high frequency magnetic field coil 6. The high frequency magnetic shield 17 is provided with shield members (copper foils) 17a...17a having conductivity and non-magnetism, subjected to multi- division so as to form slits 17c...17c, and laminated capacitors 17b...17b for electrically coupling continuously and uniformly both end parts in the longitudinal direction of the slits 17c...17c. The capacitor consists of a pair of opposed long-sized and plate-like pole plates 21, 22, and a long-sized and plate-like member provided projectingly and alternately in their opposed direction from both the pole plates 21, 22, and is formed by sub-pole plates 23a...23a, 24a...24a in which at least one pole plate side consists of plural pieces, and a dielectric (polytetrafluoroethylene) 25 filled between the sub-pole plate and the pole plate, and accordingly, working is facilitated.
