A controller for an induction generator 2 monitors output voltage and varies a resistive dump load 4 connected at the generator's output. This, in effect, varies generator speed and therefore regulates output voltage and frequency. The controller may also monitor output current of a three phase generator to vary shunt capacitance 12 as well as resistive dump load.
