The polypeptides produced have part or the entire primary structural conformation and one or more of the biological properties of human pluriponent granulocytic colonium-stimulating factor (hpG-CSF). The method for the polypeptide preparation includes prokaryotic or eukaryotic expression in the host of an exogenous DNA sequence. The potentials for chemical synthesis of polypeptides indicating the biochemical and immunological properties of hpG-CSF have also been disclosed.
