<p>A process is for spreading out and guiding a length of material using a guide with at least one roll and an adjusting component, which are preceded by a threaded spreading roll. A regulating mechanism for the edge position of the material acts on the setting component. This regulating system is connected to an additional regulating system which regulates a signal that depends on the position of the adjusting component and/or the position of the material edge. The additional system keeps the signals close to the ideal value and has an effect on the adjustment or the pressing force of at least one press element.</p> |
