<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container made of a cyclic olefin copolymer, preventing an environmental stress crack, being excellent in transparency, impact resistance, gas barrier properties, etc., and having no nonuniform wall thickness and uniform molecular orientation. SOLUTION: A packaging container comprises an oriented molded article composed of a copolymer of an olefin and a cyclic olefin. The copolymer is oriented and molded at an orienting temperature satisfying the formulas Y>=1.4X-25... (1) and Y<=0.9+70... (2), wherein X represents a glass transition point ( deg.C) of the copolymer, a value of which is 60 to 150 deg.C, and Y represents an orienting temperature ( deg.C). The molded article has a double refractive index (Δn) of at least 50×10<-6> and at most 300×10<-6> in the direction of maximum molecular orientation.</p> |
