The pump has a pair of rotating meshing gears (5,9) in a pump chamber. The gears are each born on a housing bearing journal (23,25). The journals are formed integrally with the housing (1), and project into it. The first journal has an axial passage bore (27), and a drive shaft (29) projects into the bore. The housing-inner end of the drive shaft projects from the housing journal, and is positively connected via a coupling disc (31) to a first gear (5) on the first housing journal. The inner wall surface of the disc is pressed onto the drive shaft. Its outer surface has preferably three radial projections (33), which engage into apertures (35) in the first gear surface.
