The present invention relates to a knee hinge provided with fastening devices for the upper and the lower parts of the leg, said devices being connected by at least one two-piece rail which comprises an articulation swivelling about an axle which is set back from the knee joint and adaptive to the movement thereof. The axle rests on an excentrically pivoting bearing, whereby both rail parts rotate together and which, due to its torsional movement, continuously causes the axle to change position so that it is always adapted to the knee joint movement.
