A fixture joins two e.g. blocks of wood or fibre face to face, and consists of a nail with two shafts, with a circular rim at the approx. centre point. The nail is hammered into the first block using a secondary tool (7) consisting of a hollow shaft which is placed over the upper nail section, and resting on the circular rim. The second block is then placed in position over the first, and hammered into position. The fixture may be in the form of a double nail (1, 2, 3), a double wood screw (4), or a combined nail and screw (8, 9). |
