Hydraulic damping support

The support comprises first and second (4) rigid armatures of which the second is in the form of a plate with its supporting surface (12) facing the first armature, and an elastomer body between them. The elastomer body has a base (11) in sealed contact with the supporting surface of the plate, and each of its free outer edges (17) has a seal lip (27) which is at least partially squeezed between the plate (4) and the flanges (23) of a rigid metal cover (22). The outer edge of each seal lip is inclined towards the plate's supporting face (12), the lip being in the shape of a solid elastomer collar with an asymmetrical V-profile.
