PURPOSE:To improve the resistance to washing by fixing a thermochromic pigment to the surface of various fibers with a water-soluble resin, etc., and then carrying out the secondary processing treatment. CONSTITUTION:A knitted or woven fabric, nonwoven fabric, etc., composed of various fibers is immersed in a processing liquid prepared by dispersing a thermochromic pigment in a water-soluble resin or a film-forming resin binder (e.g. PVA or an acrylic emulsion) to fix the thermochromic pigment thereto. Thereby, a thermochromic layer is formed on the surface of the fiber. The resultant fabric is then immersed in a secondary processing liquid of an oily resin liquid containing an isocyanate resin or an isocyanate prepolymer (e.g. an acrylic acid ester resin) to apply the processing liquid thereto. The secondary processing liquid is made to react with the binder to afford this fabric having thermochromic function excellent in washing durability. Furthermore, a netlike or lacy fabric knitted from nylon filament is especially effectively used as the textile material. |
