The engine mounting connecting rod is constructed as a rigid elongated body, of which each end is formed into an annular ring. It is linked internally by an elastic mass to a connecting socket, which, in turn, is linked at one end to the engine and at the other end to the structure of the vehicle. The body is made of cast iron and the primary socket (4), viewed along its axis, has the general form of a trapezoid and is linked to the outer ring (2) of the connecting rod by two elastic blocks (6), chevron-shaped. The two blocks are linked to the inclined faces (7) of the primary socket, and to the internal flanks of the outer ring. The secondary socket (9) has smaller dimensions than the primary socket, is cylindrical and is linked to the corresponding outer ring by elastic arms (11).
|
